We are planning to have a meeting on Sunday 19 July 2009 at 15:00hrs at Kelvin. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the formation of an Informal Business Network, sponsored by the Adventist Men Ministry. The main objectives of the structure would be to:

·          Determine peoples’ interests (i.e. to know who is doing what or planning to do what)

·          Offer support and encouragement

·          Assist people on how to avoid pitfalls in the business world

.

The aim is to have a relaxed environment where all aspects of business can be discussed e.g.

1.     Business entities to use for a venture.

2.     The need for adequate insurance and when to apply for same.

3.     How to build a share portfolio

4.     Good debt and bad debt theory

5.     Pitfalls in various business ventures, these will be done as case studies based on members needs.

6.     Learn Corporate talk, aimed at new graduates who have just joined the corporate and are taken aback by simple jargon, which can make them feel in-adequate in a corporate environment.

7.     Wills and the allocation of money to the church in our estate planning.
