The Importance of Prayer

Not everyone is called to be a missionary. But every Christian is called to be an INTERCESSOR. From your living room you can bring the Living Water of Christ to the desert place in our families, church, nation, and the world. Our Saviour waits to cooporate with us in extending the truimphs of the cross. He has gone to the Father to recieve all power and wants to disseminate it to us, through all of us, if we will receive and then transmit that power through INTERCESSION. Let us be a channel for others through prayer.
We are not here merely to sing songs, nod off during the sermon, haggle over religious trivia, complete a tithe envelope and wait for Jesus to beam us up. We are here to be a live wire closing the gap between the saving power of God and the sinful man (and woman) who have been cut off from that power. An intercessor is the contracting link between the source of power (the life of the Lord Jesus Christ) and the objects needing that power and life...We are called to be God's transmitters, through whom we can transmit his creative, redemptive, saving power to the minds of other people. What a PURPOSE! What a PRIVILEGE!
