As Community Services department, our aim is to promote outreach activities within the church. Community services, as part of the outreach, entails gathering and preparing of clothing; food; and other supplies for the poor; needy and unfortunate. We work closely in corporation with the other church departments. We are a subsidiary of the Personal Ministries department.

Paul's writings in Ephesians 3:17 - 20 "that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, {18} may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height; {19} to know the love of Christ

Love in action as a theme adopted by the community service department for 2009 is founded on Matt 25:35-36. When Jesus said in Matt 25:40, “I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me”. He was calling us to be true conduits of His love to the world. The world must feel, taste, see, hear and smell the love of Jesus through us. Essentially, the Duduzwane project demonstrates love in action. This year we would to extend this love to others also.
